Other Winter Activities
Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ski touring, tobogganing and much more.
Numerous, very well-tended winter hiking trails and cross-country trails in a picturesque scenery awaits you in Warth-Schröcken.
Cross-country skiing
Training at over 1,600 m in a unique natural setting.
Cross-country skiing strengthens the cardiovascular system and the general fitness. The cross-country skiing area at the Hochtannberg is small but fine and settled in an unique scenery.
Snowshoeing tours
Pulling your own trail through the untouched snow landscape.
Snowshoeing grounds immensely and you see the nature at the Hochtannbergpass from a completely different angle. If you do not want to be alone, you can join one of the weekly snowshoe tours, organized by the Tourist Office.
Winter hiking trails
Together towards the sunset.
In addition to the numerous winter hiking trails, an evening walk up to the Simmel chapel with its World Peace Cross is one of the best things you can do when spending your time in Hochkrumbach. The sunset up here is a dream.
Ski mountaineering and freeriding
Short line or long line, that's the question.
For some it must be nicely ripped and wide swings are a no go, the others love their wide lines and loughing about the old school. The topic of deep snow skiing is a true philosophy.
DetailsSledging
The most beautiful after a tobogganing run is probably the hot chocolate.
Short walks up and funny toboggan runs towards the valley.
DetailsFlying Fox - Zip line
Fly high above the ground, through the forest and over wild gorges!
In Schröcken there is a spectacular zip line with 6 Flying Fox courses between 20 and 90 meters, settled in the midst of natural surroundings.
Ice climbing
Step by step up the smooth ice wall.
Around the village of Warth there are numerous icefalls up to 300 meters!
Husky sled ride
A bit of Nordic feeling at the Arlberg
Who wouldn't want to do that once? Up on the dog sled and driving through the lonely wilderness of the Arctic. Must be a fantastic experience. But you don't have to go that far. At the Hochtannbergpass you can do that too!
